About Candace…..

Candace, a certified personal trainer, group fitness instructor and nutritionist, has a passion for fitness and believes in living life to the fullest.  This has not always been the case.  Living most of her early adult life overweight, Candace made the errors that most of us make when trying to lose weight by going for the quick fix.  That path always led to failure which left her with feelings of depression and hopelessness.  It was seven years ago when things began to change.  A group fitness instructor began to commend her on her commitment to exercise.  She also began to educate her on the importance of adding variety to her regimen.  Faster than she realized, Candace found herself becoming stronger, more physically fit and loving the way exercise made her look and feel.  It was then that she took the same approach to her diet.  Before long, she lost an incredible 55 pounds, confirming  that she made positive lifestyle changes that were permanent.  With the support and encouragement of her family and exercise classmates, Candace decided to try her hand at teaching aerobics.  She was hooked!  She spent the next two years obtaining her national certifications in Group Fitness Instruction, Personal Training and Nutrition Counseling. In 2005 she started I-Kandy Fitness proving that with dedication, patience and perseverance, all goals can be achieved. Candace continues to stay on the cutting edge of new training techniques by attending various fitness workshops all over Southern California and  Nevada. Her love for people and passion for fitness is what keeps her motivated and wanting to be a positive force in the lives of others.
